****************************************************************************** ********************* IBIS GOLDEN PARSER BUG REPORT FORM ********************* ****************************************************************************** INSTRUCTIONS To report a bug in the IBIS golden parser. Please fill out the top part of the following form and send the complete form to ibis-bug@eda.org. A list of reported bugs will be maintained on eda.org. ****************************************************************************** PARSER VERSION NUMBER: 5.1.4 PLATFORM (SPARC, HP700, PC, etc.): PC OS AND VERSION: Windows 7 REPORTED BY: Curtis Clark, ANSYS, Inc. DATE: May 5, 2014 DESCRIPTION OF BUG: We have encountered several [Model]s in which the model maker mistakenly specified a larger value for Vinl than for Vinh. This could cause convergence problems if your input voltage ends up in the range between the given Vinl and Vinh. If you end up in this region, then no matter what "state" the device is in it thinks it should be in the other. Having the parser issue a warning if Vinl > Vinh would be helpful. ------- INSERT IBIS FILE DEMONSTRATING THE BUG: |************************************************************************** | [IBIS Ver] 3.2 [File Name] bug155.ibs [File Rev] 1.0 [Date] May 5, 2014 | |************************************************************************** | [Component] BUG155 [Manufacturer] ACME [Package] | typ min max R_pkg 0.001Ohm 0.001Ohm 0.001Ohm L_pkg 0.001nH 0.001nH 0.001nH C_pkg 0.001pF 0.001pF 0.001pF | |************************************************************************** | [Pin] signal_name model_name R_pin L_pin C_pin A1 In_Mod In_Mod | |**************************************************************** | [Model] In_Mod Model_type Input | C_comp 1.10p 1.00p 1.20p | Vinh = 0.86V | Vinh is less than Vinl Vinl = 1.06V | [Voltage Range] 1.2 1.14 1.26 | |**************************************************************** [End] ****************************************************************************** ******************** BELOW FOR ADMINISTRATION AND TRACKING ******************* ****************************************************************************** BUG NUMBER: 155 SEVERITY: [FATAL, SEVERE, MODERATE, ANNOYING, ENHANCEMENT] ENHANCEMENT PRIORITY: [HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW] LOW STATUS: [OPEN, CLOSED, WILL NOT FIX, NOT A BUG] CLOSED FIXED VERSION: 6.1.0 FIXED DATE: November 20, 2015 NOTES ON BUG FIX: Classified at the May 23, 2014 IBIS Teleconference meeting.
