Michael Mirmak* Mathworks Walter Katz* Micron Technology Randy Wolff* Siemens EDA Arpad Muranyi*, Weston Beal* Teraspeed Labs Bob Ross* Minutes by Weston Beal -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Call for Patents: none Review of Minutes: Minutes from October 5, 2022 were reviewed. Arpad Muranyi moved to approve the minutes. Bob Ross seconded the motion. The minutes were approved. Minutes from October 12, 2022 were reviewed. Arpad moved to approve the minutes with change of date in line 2. Bob seconded the motion. The minutes were approved. Review of Actions Required: - Michael researched the distributed file editing in MS Word. Inserting a sub-document did not work. He investigated more documents and cannot get it to work. The master and sub-document approach is older and less stable than the single large document. Reducing the image sizes (next AR) makes the overall document smaller, which will reduced the problem of sending the document by email and reduce file corruption. done - Michael investigated converting Visio images to other format for including in the specification document. A simple copy and paste converts the images to a smaller-size format. Chapter 6 reduced from 2.1 MB to 0.8 MB. done - Walter Katz discussed with the programmers the use of clock_times memory to see if the specification needs to clarify the process of the array passing. The ATM task group has discussed this in detail. The result of the discussion will be in a BIRD from Arpad. done - Michael asked the EDA tool vendor who violates the AMI_parameters_in behavior of passing output into the parameter string if they are willing to correct this in their tool. He has not heard a reply. remains open New Actions: Agenda: Review clock_times Clarifications Updates (Arpad Muranyi) ongoing in the ATM task group. Complete Review of Remaining 7.2 Draft 2 Comments In the clock_times section page 229 the word, bit is changed to symbol. A file syntax example at the end of section 10.8.2 seems to be lacking purpose. Should we just delete it? The example is removed. BCI_Training_UI description says bits. Should it be UI or symbol? Changed to UI. Section 10.9.1 Training Flows talks about daisy-chain list of models. Is the description of inputs now correct with the approval of BIRD211.4? The description seems to be consistent with the parameter, TX_impulse_input, so this sentence was not edited. Review [Interconnect Model] Duplication Clarification BIRD. Discussion is happening in IBIS Quality task group and by email. Detecting the problem is correct, but the message from the parser should probably be a Caution rather than an Error. The intent of a possible BIRD would be to clarify that models using the same pin names are connected in parallel. Next Meeting Scheduled: October 26, 2022 Arpad moved to adjourn. Randy seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:59 a.m. PT.
