Review of ARs: - Mike to post the corrected version of the IBIS 7.0 draft. - Mike reported this is done. - Michael to submit the draft to the Open Forum and send an announcement. - Michael reported this is done. Opens: Michael stated that we plan to review Randy Wolff's comments. He asked where the document with Randy's comments is posted. Mike replied that it is posted on the Editorial web page. Michael stated our primary objective is to classify the comments from Randy. Review of ver7_0_draft1_rrw.docx: Randy noted he had enabled change tracking in the document when he reviewed it, but he is now not able to distinguish the changes he made with the previous changes for IBIS 7.0. Mike suggested he can create a difference document to show the changes. Mike noted the first change is on page 8 from "Version 6" to "Version 6.0". Randy had also changed "Interconnect modeling" to lower case. Bob Ross asked if we have a rule on how to handle this. Mike suggested to defer this discussion. Arpad agreed to change "Interconnect modeling" to lower case. Mike noted Randy removed a comma on item four of the Syntax Rules. Randy also noted the word "IS" on item eight should be lower case. Mike noted there are other places where this is an issue. Michael asked if there is a need for emphasis in this case. Mike replied there is not and agreed with making this lower case. Randy stated the first comment is on capitalization of concepts. Mike agreed this is an issue throughout the document. Arpad suggested that lower case "model selector" is okay in this instance. Randy commented that we are very inconsistent on this. Michael marked this is as resolved. Michael asked if we want emphasis on the phrase "for that pin only" on page 29. He suggested to change this italics. Mike and Randy agreed. Randy stated the next comment, on page 32, is about the language of using ".ibs" rather than the term "IBIS". Mike agreed that using ".ibs" would make more sense in this case. Bob agreed. Randy added the word "to" on page 32. On page 33, "Interconnect Models" was capitalized. On page 34, Randy removed the word "also". Randy noted there is a strike through on the bullet on page 34. Michael fixed this and removed the comment. Mike noted, on page 37, the [End Interconnect Model Group] keyword description is not formatted correctly. Michael fixed this. Bob commented there is an extra space before the example. Randy stated the next comment is on capitalization of the word "every" on page 38. Michael commented we want emphasis in this case and changed the text to italics. Mike stated the comment on page 40 is a simple line spacing issue. Randy noted on page 45 another capitalization question. Arpad suggested to keep this as is. Randy commented there is a change on page 49, where he removed the word "also" from the sentence: "This applies for the true differential buffers in Section 6.3 and also for differential buffers using identical single-ended models." Arpad also suggested to change "applies for" to "applies to". Bob agreed. Randy commented, on pages 58 and 59, there are sentences which are inconsistent. Michael agreed with changing "a" to "the", and he noted another instance where we need to apply the same change. Arpad also suggested to change "receiver" to "receiver's" for Vinh_dc and to change the uppercase "NOT" to lowercase italics for emphasis. On page 63, Randy noted the Table 3 reference should be Table 2. Michael agreed and made this change. On page 67, Randy changed "depends" to "depend". Michael agreed this was grammatically correct. Michael changed the word "both" to lowercase italics on page 70. And, he changed current and voltage to lowercase. Arpad asked if we should have dashes or periods for the numbered list. Michael changed the list formatting to number and period. Mike noted the next item to address in the next meeting is a comment on page 81. Michael asked if we need to post this working copy of the document. Mike thought it is not necessary. Walter Katz suggested to go ahead and make the minor editorial changes. Mike noted there are some comments that need some further discussion. Mike moved to adjourn. Arpad seconded. The meeting adjourned without objection. The next meeting will take place Wednesday, January 16, at 8 AM Pacific. Open Technical Questions: 1. BIRD182: POWER and GND [Pin] signal_name as [Pin Mapping] bus_label a.
