No patents were declared. Justin Butterfield took minutes. Review of minutes from the October 3 meeting: Bob Ross moved to approve with this change. Arpad Muranyi seconded. Minutes were approved without objection. Review of ARs: - Michael Mirmak to send out the latest IBIS 7.0 draft and checklist. - Mike reported this was done. Arpad asked if there was an email notice for it. Justin commented that he also did not get an email. Mike replied that it is posted on the website, but there might not have been an email as Michael is out of office. Arpad asked if the checklist is posted. Mike replied that it is. Opens: - None. Editorial review of ver7_0_181005.docx and the task checklist: Mike reviewed that last time we completed checklist item 36 for BIRD189.7. He noted the next checklist item 37 is BIRD191.2. This BIRD changes the Component section by clarifying Si_Location and Timing_Location. He noted a sentence is added to the [Component] description. Next there is a change in the Multi-Lingual section where "at-pad" is changed to "at-buffer terminal" in two places and a new sentence regarding the Ports subparameter is added. Arpad asked if we are looking in the correct place for this change. Bob replied this is replaced twice here. Mike noted "at-pad" is replace in three places in the next set of changes. We marked checklist item 37 as verified. Mike stated the next checklist item 38 is BIRD192.1 regarding the List Default Rules. This BIRD makes changes to Section 10.3 under the List field description. Arpad asked about the addition of text related to "Usage In" which does not appear in the BIRD. Mike thought this might have come from another BIRD. Looking at the checklist, Arpad thought it might be from BIRD187.3. Mike brought up BIRD187.3 and confirmed it does add "Usage In" to the List format. He commented the draft seems correct based on both BIRDs. Bob stated these are independent changes. We marked checklist item 38 as verified. Mike stated checklist item 39 is BIRD194 which is the Alternative AMI Analog Buffer Modeling addition. This adds a new section under Section 10 and there are several other changes in this BIRD. Mike noted the figure numbers are not correct, but we will correct them as part checklist item 57. Radek Biernacki noted the capitalization of the title for this section is different from the other sections. Mike agreed this does not follow our convention. He asked if we should change this now or later. Radek thought we can look at it later. Mike noted checklist item 61 will address this. Arpad asked about the capitalization of the headings not matching the Word Navigation on the right side. Mike replied this is expected from Word formatting. Arpad noted an extra space in the title for section 10.1. He also commented that the page breaks between the titles and the text should be fixed. Mike fixed this by associating the title with the text. Bob noted there is a lot of extra space on page 270 (Simple Markup). Mike noted the BIRD also adds new reserved parameters, and we have added the label 10.11 to this new Reserved Parameters Definitions section. Bob thought this numbering is incorrect and should be 10.10.1. Mike asked if these reserved parameters are specific to this subsection. Arpad stated that we have a checklist item to address the numbering of the sections. Mike suggested to remove this numbering to match the BIRD. Arpad suggested to fix the indentation of the title as well. Mike also noted the reserved parameters are added as new text and the tables are renumbered in the 7.0 draft. Bob suggested to add a blank line between the Reserved Parameters and Data Type Rule Summary Tables and the text. Arpad suggested to make Table 35 fit within the margins. Bob suggested to make all tables left justified. Mike added a checklist item to fix these table issues globally. Mike commented that Table 35 (Allowable Data Formats for General Reserved Parameters) in the 7.0 draft does not match the table in the BIRD. Radek thought that the table in the BIRD is not correct. He thought that Michael had done a good job to fix what was in the BIRD. Mike asked if only the table is incorrect. Radek stated that it is only an issue with this table. Mike double checked all of the allowable formats are now correctly marked in the table based on each of the reserved parameter descriptions. Mike asked if we should correct the BIRD on the website. Bob stated he prefers to not update it, as this might create confusion. We marked checklist 39 as verified. Radek asked if the Reserved Parameter and Data Type Rule Summary Tables should follow this new section. Bob thought this might be in the incorrect place. Arpad stated the numbering is incorrect and this should now be the Section 10.11, but this is a summary and should be at the end of section 10. Bob commented that there was a line feed issue for the section 10.9 heading. Arpad stated there should not be an extra line. Mike noted that this is a word formatting issue, and we will need to make these consistent. Arpad commented that the table numbering is incorrect. Bob noted in some cases we still have "Table XX" and we will have to go through all of the table numbering. Mike noted that the table numbers in this section have been manually entered. He asked if we want to renumber these now. Arpad noted we already have a checklist item for this. Bob suggested to have automatic numbering for the tables. Arpad suggested to use the Tuesday time slot for the next Editorial meeting. Mike thought that this could work, and noted we will not meet on Friday next week due to the Open Forum meeting. Arpad stated he will make an announcement to the ATM reflector [AR]. Mike will send out the latest draft and checklist [AR]. Arpad moved to adjourn. Bob seconded. The meeting adjourned without objection. The next meeting will take place Tuesday, October 9, at Noon Pacific time. Open Technical Questions: 1. BIRD182: POWER and GND [Pin] signal_name as [Pin Mapping] bus_label a. Is a bus_label created even if we don't have [Pin Mapping], [Bus Label], or [Die Supply Pads] through the [Pin]? b. Is a bus_label short created for legacy package models based on the second column of [Pin] when we do not have a [Pin Mapping] entry?
