Open Issues:

Our sincere apologies for the communication breakdown. Our
fax machine didn't send out to everyone, and didn't generate
an error message. As a result, we'll be changing the way
minutes are sent out. We'll still fax the minutes, but
we'll also post a notice on vhdl.org that the minutes have
been faxed. If you don't receive them, please notify us.

We'll meet next week since so many people didn't get the
faxed minutes. We will send out a meeting reminder on the
reflector, with bridge numbers, as well as the next several
meeting time schedules and bridge numbers.

I. FYI

Intel has a graphics artist on retainer and the artist came
up with some IBIS logos.
AR: Will Hobbs bring IBIS logos to the November 12 IBIS
meeting.

II. Press Release:

The press release was sent out October 13. Will Hobbs got
calls from EE Times and Electronics Weekly in England. The
list of participating companies was incorrect, TI was listed
and shouldn't have been. Editors were called to correct it.
EE Times announced IBIS two weeks ago for HyperLynx. The
information was in Electronic News this week. The press
release is on vhdl.org.

III. Summit planning:

There will be a bridge so people can call in if they must,
and the agenda will have times listed on it. The bridge
will have limited capacity and foils will probably not be
available ahead of time. Therefore, companies are strongly
urged to attend in person.
Bridge number: (916)356-9999. Reservation Number: 130639

Summit Agenda:

8:00 - 8:20 Assemble, mingle, drink coffee, etc.
8:20 - 10:00 Presentations:Morning (20 - 30 minutes each)
10:00 - 10:20 Break
10:20 - 12:00 Presentations (20 - 30 minutes each)
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch
     Special Requirements?
     Showcases?
1:00 - 1:55 Panel Discussion
2:00 - 2:50 Panel Discussion
3:10 - 4:00 Panel Discussion
4:05 - 5:00 Panel Discussion

Morning: presentations, 20-30 minutes each. We are still
looking for additional presenters.

John Powell - slew control devices
  Arpad Muranyi - V/I/T
Eric Bracken - package parameters (.PKG)
Will Hobbs - introductions or a topic

Afternoon: The afternoon will be panel discussions rather
than breakout sessions.

Second round changes to the Golden parser. Slight
changes in software would make it easier for companies
to adapt for their own use. Don Telian will ask Paul
   Munsey to attend the summit.

How to get active participation by semiconductor
   vendors. Need a leader.

What enhancements do we want to include in 2.0?

Hour at the end of the day for closure, BIRD votes.

A product showcase is acceptable but up to each
   individual company.
