Hello,

All members of the IBIS Open Forum will soon receive welcome messages from
the new Majordomo list administration software. There is no change in your
list membership status - this is just an automatic message resulting from
the change in the underlying mail administration.

As the Chair of the EIA/IBIS Open Forum, Stephen Peters, said last week, we
have been having some initial trouble with Majordomo. Unfortunately,
messages posted to ibis@eda.org since July 24 have not been sent to the Open
Forum members. These messages have not been lost, but have been archived
at:

http://www.eda.org/ibis/hm/

You can visit this hypermail archive to view all posted messages.

Note that the IBIS Users Group Reflector is still running smoothly under the
old mail system, and that most of the Open Forum messages are cross posted
there.

New postings to ibis@eda.org should now be forwarded to all Open Forum
members. For the time being, however, we ask that you cross post all
messages to ibis@eda.org to ibis-users@eda.org.

There are several other issues we are working to resolve. Specifically, you
will notice that the title provided by Majordomo in your welcome email and
on the hypermail archive should be changed from "IBIS - EIA IBIS
Standard Activity" to "EIA/IBIS Standards Committee Activity". Also, the
text drawings in messages on the hypermail archive are corrupted by
font/whitespace conversions. Please send any questions about this message
or suggestions for mailing list improvements to:

owner-ibis@eda.org

Thanks for your patience during this transition,
John Angulo
