Lynne,

1)  I am not aware of anyone having done this.
2)  Controlled sources are allowed in [External Circuit] so are
    active circuits, even complete buffer models, etc...
3)  Most likely not.  That is why Don is proposing to write
    up the HSPICE EFGH elements as part of IBIS.
4)  As far as reviewing goes, this is pretty much what the
    discussion on the macromodeling proposal from Don is all about.

Does anyone know whether someone has successfully tried macromodeling using
the "external circuit" in IBIS 4.1?  Are controlled sources allowed there?

Related to that, are the controlled sources of SPICE 3f5 sufficient, or
should the Futures committee be reviewing this problem too?
