Walter,

Regarding: "I do not have the time or resources at this time to contribute to a
specification that I do not think can be accomplished with the people resources we
have in the IBIS-ATM committee."

This is your personal opinion. My personal opinion is that the
gazillion new problem specific keywords you drafted up in our
offline discussions with Mike M. would probably take even more
committee time to finalize because they are problem specific and
there is a lot of them.

But instead of having discussions on personal opinions, I would
like to have technical discussions on the proposals themselves,
whether it is yours or mine or anyone else's. We need to take
at least a high level look at all of the proposals in the ATM
committee and decide collectively which one might make more sense
to discuss in detail and finalize for the specification.

Regarding: "This includes not having the time to pour through BIRDs 125 and 145
to see how they can be adapted to satisfy all of the Levels described below."

Sorry to say this, but you are being very unfair with this attitude.
If you expect everyone else to spend (lots of) time to understand
your proposals, you should also be willing to review the proposals
of others. I think that's what committee work is all about.

Regarding: "When you have updated these BIRDS to reflect these requirements I
will be happy to review them, particularly how they address the Level 1 and Level 2
requirements."

As far as I can tell, there is no need to make any changes to BIRD 125
to address the needs in Level 1 and 2. I am ready for comments on that,
and entertain suggestions for changes in BIRD 125 if needed.

Thanks,

Arpad

Arpad,

As I meant to say, I do not have the time or resources at this time to contribute to a specification that I do not think can be accomplished with the people resources we have in the IBIS-ATM committee. This includes not having the time to pour through BIRDs 124 and 145 to see how they can be adapted to satisfy all of the Levels described below. When you have updated these BIRDS to reflect these requirements I will be happy to review them, particularly how they address the Level 1 and Level 2 requirements.

Walter
