****************************************************************************** ********************* IBIS GOLDEN PARSER BUG REPORT FORM ********************* ****************************************************************************** INSTRUCTIONS To report a bug in the IBIS golden parser. Please fill out the top part of the following form and send the complete form to ibischk-bug@vhdl.org. A list of reported bugs will be maintained on vhdl.org. ****************************************************************************** PARSER VERSION NUMBER: 3.2 PLATFORM (SPARC, HP700, PC, etc.): PC OS AND VERSION: WIN 2000 REPORTED BY: Tracy Sopchak for Cameron Seitz - Cadence Design Systems DATE: 10/16/01 DESCRIPTION OF BUG: There are two obvious datapoint errors on lines 49 and 52 copied below, however when the file is first parsed, an error is only listed for the first error. Once you fix this error and reparse, then the second error is listed. Shouldn't it list them both from the start? 2.20 2.030mA 1.939mA 2.103mA 2.30 2.031mA 1.940mA -20.103mA 2.40 2.031mA 1.940mA 2.104mA 2.50 2.031mA 1.940mA 2.104mA 2.60 2.031mA 1.940mA -200.105mA 2.70 2.032mA 1.940mA 2.106mA INSERT IBIS FILE DEMONSTRATING THE BUG: |************************************************************************ | [IBIS ver] 2.1 [File name] bug62.ibs [File Rev] 1.0 [Date] June 29, 2001 [Source] Generic [Disclaimer] Test Case, not to be used for simulation | |************************************************************************ | Component BUG62 |************************************************************************ | [Component] BUG62 [Manufacturer] Generic [Package] | variable typ min max R_pkg 2.00m 1.00m 4.00m L_pkg 5.00nH 4.00nH 6.00nH C_pkg 0.20pF 0.10pF 0.30pF | [Pin] signal_name model_name R_pin L_pin C_pin 1 TXN TEST |************************************************************************ | Model TEST |************************************************************************ | [Model] TEST Model_type Output Polarity Non-Inverting C_comp 1.00pF 1.20pF 0.80pF | | [Temperature Range] 70.00 0.10k 0.000 [Voltage Range] 3.30V 3.15V 3.45V [Pulldown] | voltage I(typ) I(min) I(max) | 0. -98.06mA -58.86mA -172.2mA 1.10 2.021mA 1.938mA -2.191mA 1.20 2.028mA 1.938mA 1.653mA 1.30 2.029mA 1.938mA 2.085mA 2.10 2.030mA 1.939mA 2.103mA 2.20 2.030mA 1.939mA 2.103mA 2.30 2.031mA 1.940mA -20.103mA 2.40 2.031mA 1.940mA 2.104mA 2.50 2.031mA 1.940mA 2.104mA 2.60 2.031mA 1.940mA -200.105mA 2.70 2.032mA 1.940mA 2.106mA 2.80 2.033mA 1.941mA 2.107mA 2.90 2.033mA 1.941mA 2.109mA 3.30 2.040mA 1.946mA 2.120mA | [Pullup] | voltage I(typ) I(min) I(max) | 0.00 2.040mA 1.946mA 2.120mA 3.30 -287.7mA -220.7mA -386.2mA | [Ramp] | variable typ min max dV/dt_r 0.748/0.135n 0.719/0.158n 0.754/0.106n dV/dt_f 0.748/0.180n 0.709/0.198n 0.746/0.139n R_load = 0.15k | [End] ****************************************************************************** ******************** BELOW FOR ADMINISTRATION AND TRACKING ******************* ****************************************************************************** BUG NUMBER: 62 SEVERITY: [FATAL, SEVERE, MODERATE, ANNOYING, ENHANCEMENT] ANNOYING PRIORITY: [HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW] LOW STATUS: [OPEN, CLOSED, WILL NOT FIX, NOT A BUG] WILL NOT FIX FIXED VERSION: FIXED DATE: NOTES ON BUG FIX: Classified at the October 26, 2001 IBIS Meeting. More discussion is planned on how to resolve BUG62. Resolved at the November 16, 2001 IBIS Meeting that BUG62 would be in the WILL NOT FIX category. One proposal was was just to record a count of non-monotonic points. However, it was resolved that the annoyance was minor enough not to invest the time and money to fix it. EDA vendors who have source code licences can make fixes if they want. ******************************************************************************
