No patents were declared. Justin Butterfield took minutes. Review of Minutes: - Michael called for review of the minutes from the January 11 meeting. Mike LaBonte moved to approve the minutes. Bob Ross seconded. The minutes were approved without objection. Review of ARs: - Michael to send out a new draft of the Interconnect BIRD incorporating the changes proposed by Randy Wolff and Bob. - Michael reported this is done. Opens: - None Interconnect BIRD draft 46: Michael noted that he has made some global changes for capitalization. He also incorporated some of the changes from Bob's comments. Bob point out that the sentence "The file names and extensions shall be lower case." in regards to .ims files should be deleted. Michael noted that we still have an open question about column headings as subparameters. But he recommended to take that issue up at the IBIS Open Forum rather than here. Bob commented that there is no technical reason to restrict the bus_label name and signal_name from being the same. Michael also pointed out that we cannot have duplicate bus_labels. Bob clarified that the second column of the [Bus Label] keyword is required. Bob commented that there are some figures in the Interconnect BIRD document that need captions. Michael noted there have been some simplifications to the 12.1 General Interconnect Syntax Requirements section. Michael stated we are now using the term "Aggressor_Only", and we still have a comment in regards to its section that needs to be resolved. Bob noted if the Aggressor_Only argument is missing, it does not prevent the EDA tool from selecting aggressors and victims. Walter Katz stated the language of the section is acceptable to him. Bob noted that if Aggressor_Only is assigned to any of the terminal locations of a pin_name, then it applies to the complete path. Walter suggested to add a sentence to the document text to make this clear. Michael added a sentence to the end of this section to address this concern. Mike asked if model makers will be satisfied with this yes or no choice for aggressors and asked if they might want more choices. Walter thought the model makers should know when generating coupled models which signals would have sufficient coupling to be victims. Model makers currently make this decision already, but this information is communicated poorly to the EDA tool. Michael noted the examples were fixed based on Randy's suggestion. Michael asked if there are any major technical issues with the current draft. He will send out draft 47 for review. Michael asked if the draft can be reviewed at the summit. Bob thought that we should show a status report only. Walter disagreed and thought we should submit the BIRD to the IBIS Open Forum. He thought the only issues are editorial, and we should put the BIRD out there for a larger audience to review. Bob's concern is that we do not want to have too many editorial issues when the BIRD is brought to the IBIS Open Forum. Arpad thought the technical issues are complete and the Editorial Committee can go through the editorial issues. Michael will prepare a status update for the summit meeting for next time. We will review the latest draft and decide how to present it to the IBIS Open Forum and the up coming summit meeting next week. Walter moved to adjourn. Arpad seconded. The meeting adjourned without objection.
