Michael Mirmak convened the meeting.  No patents were declared. 
Justin Butterfield took minutes.


Review of Minutes:
- Michael called for review of the minutes from the January 15, 2020 meeting. 
  Bob Ross moved to approve the minutes.  Randy Wolff seconded.  The minutes 
  were approved without objection.


Review of ARs: 
- Michael to send out EBD draft 31.  
  - Michael reported this is done.
   

Opens:
- Michael noted there are numerous comments in the document to resolve.
 
- Bob suggested to schedule a vote today to determine if we want to submit the 
current EMD draft as a BIRD to assign a number.  Michael stated this would allow 
us to discuss the BIRD at the DesignCon IBIS summit.  Michael asked what 
critical changes we would need to make before submitting the BIRD.  Bob 
suggested to submit it as is.  Michael asked if Randy had his drawing ready 
yet.  Randy stated he was not satisfied with the drawing.  Michael noted we also 
need to add a terms definition section.

EMD draft 31 review:
Michael asked if we have a resolution to the paragraph on page 26.  Bob had 
suggested to delete this section.  Walter Katz stated Bob had alternative text, 
and we need to carefully review these sections before removing one of them.  
Michael noted we need to distinguish between the terms "designator" and 
"designator pin".

Arpad Muranyi moved to submit the EMD BIRD to the IBIS Open Forum.  He noted 
that additional review work still needs to be done.  Walter seconded the 
motion.  Arpad asked if we would submit the BIRD as is or make some changes to 
clean it up and accept all the changes.  Randy suggested to post a clean copy, 
but we can keep working on the current draft as the basis for future drafts.  
Arpad suggested we may want to keep the comments in the official posting, so 
others know we are still working on it.  Walter modified the motion to accept 
all changes and remove comments for a clean copy of the draft to post.  Arpad 
seconded the modified motion, noting he is okay with this.  He asked if we will 
have to track the changes between 202 and 202.1.  Walter noted this is a 
straight forward process with the MS Word compare feature.  There were no 
objections to the modified motion.

Michael will make the necessary changes and submit the EMD draft as a BIRD [AR].

Michael asked if there would be a formal presentation on EMD at the DesignCon 
IBIS Summit.  Bob replied he plans to present on the EMD terminology, which may 
change in the final EMD version.


Next Meeting:
The next meeting will be February 5.


Bob moved to adjourn.  Walter seconded.  The meeting adjourned without 
objection.
