Walter said the EMD spec is done, except for the question of whether package modeling parameter tree syntax should be changed to keywords. Also we must decide to stop discussing BIRDs 125 and 145 before we proceed on the details of EMD. He said we should create prototype models of the five package model types, and that this is best handled in a smaller group. Walter noted that Scott McMorrow asked for additional model information for tools to create custom simulations. Bob called this the "EMD editorial" meeting, and he noted that this is the right place to finalize that. Mike suggested suspending these meetings until BIRDs 125 and 145 are resolved in the ATM meetings. Arpad and Walter agreed. Arpad said the tree structure question should also be decided in ATM meetings. Walter agreed, but wondered if Arpad still felt strongly about BIRD 125. Arpad said he still needed to consider this, although he was not supportive of BIRD 145. Walter felt strongly that BIRD 145 must not pass. We agreed to resume these meetings after BIRDs 125 and 145 are resolved, or on an as-requested basis. ======================================================================== Next Meeting: Wednesday, TBD
