During opens, Greg Edlund raised the issue of IBM's binary format proposal. He described the format as in active use by customers with the IBM HSSCDR tool. Brad suggested that a binary format, regardless of how represented (little or big endian), would result in a compression factor of much more than 2. Lijun noted that no detailed document on the binary format was currently available. INCOMPLETE!!!!
