This disrupted the IBIS reflector as well as links establised from the ANSI/EIA-656 web site. Randy Harr of DARPA was actively working on getting the server up and running. Jon Powell has sent out a message thru the alias list extracted out from the IBIS reflector Bob Ross(Chair)was unable to attend teleconference due to health reasons. Several members were concerned of his absense. PRESS AND WEB PAGE UPDATES Syed Huq reported EDN Product Edition Dec11th'96 pg24 had an article on 'PC Graphics System Design' that mentions IBIS for modeling. Concerns were highlighted by various participants regarding BIRD36. These were the use of SPICE models to describe connectors over the new syntax described by BIRD36. Many felt that SPICE was more appropriate and are readily available and IBIS syntax need not be created again to model connectors. More disucssion regarding this will be held during the summit meeting. BIRD40 - SPECIFICATION ENHANCEMENT(vote) No vote was taken as qorum not established other technical discussion: --------------------------- Various discussions were held regarding an upcoming BIRD from Arpad about Quick Switch. Modeling of series devices with FET switches was the concern.
