Garry,

You can find it in Section 9, paragraphs 6-7, page 76 of the
v.3.2 specification (in PDF file format).

Regarding the TT parameters, the reason they may be out of order
is because they need to hold values which correspond to the data
in the typ/min/max columns of the clamp IV tables. (This is in
spelled out in the "Usage Rules" section on p. 32).

Hi Muranyi,
I received further comments as follows...

Garry
Can you say which lines in the IBIS spec say the smallest value go to min
and largest value go to max?
I may have missed that line. On the other hand, I have an example in IBIS
3.2 spec clearly shows that smallest cap
value does not necessarily go to min column (IBIS 3.2 pp 33, pdf version,
the TTgnd and TTpower keyword).
As I have understood (always), the min, typ, and max are corners, not
absolute value comparison. Imagine if the
data are full of negative numbers, would that turn everything upside down?

Comments?
Thanks
Garry

Garry,

According to the IBIS specification, you need to put the smallest
number in the min place, and the largest number in the max place.
This is because the size of the number is not necessarily related
to other min/max or fast/slow or best/worst conditions.

Subject: [IBIS-Users] C-comp question

Sometimes I get a warning as follows:
C_comp min value is not the smallest value listed
or
C_comp max value is not the largest value listed

It does not always seem to be the case that the min value is the smallest
C-comp value.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks
Garry Felker
