RE: [IBIS-Users] Utilizing IBIS .pkg files with HyperLynx

Ray,

The Hyperlynx SI tools, Linesim and Boardsim, have no trouble finding
the external .pkg file. But there is a bug in the Visual IBIS Editor:
it saves the current text of the edited IBIS file into a temporary
directory and calls ibischk on this copy. This apparently is done in
preference to overwriting the original file with any changes made in the
editor. Unfortunately, of course, there are no .pkg files in the temp
directory, and ibischk is outwitted.

This is most likely a long-standing defect, but we'll correct the
problem as soon as possible; meanwhile, putting the .pkg text into the
IBIS file is the necessary work-around.

Thanks for spotting this bug! Let's talk offline if there are further
details to discuss.

Best regards,
