Dear Arpad,

Thanks for correct me. You are correct. I ask a stupid question. I will check back with my group again regarding this.

If let say, now no more in input pins but output / I/O pins, will the overshoot shows in the model data?

Yylau,

Overshoot is a phenomena in the signal's quality.
A model can effect how much overshoot you will see
in a simulation depending on what the clamps look
like, but the overshoot itself is not in the model,
it is in your signal that the model receives.

Therefore IBISchk will not show any overshoot in
the model either.

Please think about this a little and then reformulate
your question, because it really doesn't make sense
the way you asked it.  Or did I miss something?

Subject: [IBIS-Users] Overshoot and Undershoot issue

Dear ALL,

Recently, my group member done some testing on the chip. And found overshoot and undershoot in the Input pins. But this is not shown in the IBIS model data.

Is it that mean the model that we built is not accurate? or there were some other effect need to take in to account?

ANother question here : How do the model looks when there were overshoot and undershoot? Can we know this by using IBISCHK?

Thanks
