No

The simulator will do that. Leave the clamp curves alone for an output
buffer.

Abdul,
IBIS Pullup/Pulldown curves don't include Clamps when Clamp data are
presented. So you will have to combine Clamps with Pullup/Pulldown for
output buffers.

 Mithlesh,

Yes, you are correct.

The I/O model_type will consist of the following V/I anf V/T tables

Pullup
Pulldown
Gnd clamp
Power clamp
Riseing waveforms
Falling waveforms

For output only model_type, remove the ground and power clamps.

For Input only model_type, remove the pullup, pulldown, rising and
falling waveforms.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ping me if you have any other questions.

Subject: [IBIS-Users] IO, output, Input buffers

Hello Experts,

I use [model selector] to select different models for pins. Few pins are
I/O, Output only and Input only.
The output only models do not have power/ground clamp curves and Input
only models have only clamp curves. i.e.
if i remove particular section, i can convert a IO model to output/Input
models, right?

Now, do i need to separately define Output & Input only models to
particular pins or I use the IO type model for them as well?

-----------------
[model selector] io_type
IO models

[model selector] output_type
Output models (or IO models ???)

[model selector] Input_type
Input models (or IO models???)

-----------------

Highly appreciate your quick response.

Thank you!
Mithlesh
