Fabio,

Sorry for the delay in answering your questions.

You are basically asking two independent questions.

The purpose of [External Model] is to replace the guts

of [Model] without changing any of its connectivity.

[External Circuit] is a more general keyword, it can

be connected in more flexible ways.

Whether you can express an I-V or V-t curve with

equations is a different question. The *-AMS

languages available for the [External ***] keywords

certainly allow you to do that, but the question is

whether you can find an equation which will serve

the purpose accurately enough to model your device.

Thanks,

Arpad

Subject: [IBIS] External Model use

Hello ibis experts,

I'd like to understand something more about [External Model] and
[External Circuit]

keywords, there somewhere any ibis working examples whit that?

I don't know if this is a legitimize request...

I have read [External Model] keyword can be used to replace the usual
I-V and

V-t tables; it is possible to define a polynomial expression (polynomial
function)

to describe I-V and V-t curves? (using one of the supported Language)

Thank you (anyway) ,

Fabio
