[IBIS-Users] Clarification on [Series Pin Mapping] and [Model Selector]

Hi,

I have been making IBIS models for some time now. When devices are available in multiple packages I include these as different components. Up till now I included the [Series Pin Mapping][ and the [Model Selector] sections only once since they apply to all components. But after re-reading the IBIS specification I came to the conclusion that these sections should actually be included in each [Component]. The questions I have now:

1. Did I read the specification correct?

2. The simulator I use seems to work fine with only one [Model Selector] section. Do different simulators treat this differently? In other words, do I run the risk that models that work fine with me, do not run correctly with customers?

Kind Regards,

René Voshol
