****************************************************************************** ********************* IBIS GOLDEN PARSER BUG REPORT FORM ********************* ****************************************************************************** INSTRUCTIONS To report a bug in the IBIS golden parser. Please fill out the top part of the following form and send the complete form to ibischk-bug@vhdl.org. A list of reported bugs will be maintained on vhdl.org. ****************************************************************************** PARSER VERSION NUMBER: Found in IBISCHK4 V4.2.1 PLATFORM (SPARC, HP700, PC, etc.): Checked on PC OS AND VERSION: MSWindows 2000 REPORTED BY: Bob Ross Teraspeed Consulting Group DATE: May 26, 2007 DESCRIPTION OF BUG: The NOTEs report with respect to BUG 92 (submodel WARNINGs) and BUG94 (combined and individual I-V table Warnings for non-monotonic regions does not show specific line numbers. While the NOTEs report identifies the problem by model name and table, the line number remains useful for locating the problem area within the tables. This change was as a result of doing the individual and combined checks as a single post processing operation. The original first pass code was not used. This BUG96 report requests restoring the first pass code originally used for Warning messages so that line numbers are reported in the NOTEs section. The post-processing code can still be used for reporting WARNINGs. The BUG94 example [IBIS Ver] 3.1 is used for this BUG96 as the test case where the line number information is missing in the NOTE lines when using ibischk4 V4.2.1. (BUG94 also changed the parser to issue NOTEs with [IBIS Ver] 4.X code even when combined tables were Monotonic and no WARNING messages were issued.) The BUG92 test case should also be used for checking Submodel NOTE lines. ---- IBISCHK4 V4.2.0 Checking bug96.ibs for IBIS 3.2 Compatibility...
