Hi I am not sure if you are familiar with the IBIS EBD(Electrical Board Description) models. Currently DIMM modules that has multiple components on it can be modeled with this EBD modeling scheme. Layout parasitics (uncoupled) along with all the IBIS component models are put together in this EBD format. Externally, users only see the pinout of the DIMM. I believe the MCPs can also be done in a similar fashion. http://eda.org/pub/ibis/ver4.1/ver4_1.pdf (see section8) Regards, Syed Vice-Chair ANSI/EIA-656A Cisco Systems, Inc -----Original Message----- From: owner-ibis-users@eda.org [mailto:owner-ibis-users@eda.org] On Behalf Of Radovan.Vuletic@infineon.com Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 12:14 AM To: ibis-users@eda.org Subject: [IBIS-Users] Multi Chip Packages Hi IBIS Experts, I am not so long here on this forum, but I have never seen that somebody has discussed a Multi Chip Package topics. The number of MCP's is growing, but I think there is still no solution how should be MCP's and especially their Packages handled by IBIS. Are there any ideas, cookbooks, procedures, recommendations etc. how to handle them? Sooner or later everybody from us will have to make an IBIS model for one MCP and it would be nice if we all do it on unique way and not by applying our special solutions for which we think that are correct ...
