Mike,

Yes, the missing keyword is most likely causing the problem; I managed
to reproduce your error message here. Try adding the following after
your [Series Pin Mapping] section but before your [Model]s:

[Series Switch Groups]
On 1 /

I note that ibischk3 did not flag this but that ibischk4 does.

There is no [Series Switch Groups] in the file, by the model SWITCH1
named
in [Series Pin Mapping] is a Series_switch model. Would that cause a
problem?

Do you have [Series Switch Groups] defined for the same model? Ibischk4

probably looking for the table group definitions there.

Can someone explain why ibischk4 looks at this IBIS table:

[Series Pin Mapping] pin_2 model_name function_table_group
3 2 SWITCH1 1
6 5 SWITCH1 1

and complains:

ERROR - Component 'MYCOMPONENT': [Series Pin Mapping] Model 'SWITCH1'
uses
function 1 which is not defined. ERROR - Component 'MYCOMPONENT':
[Series
Pin Mapping] Model 'SWITCH1' uses function 1 which is not defined.

As far as I can tell IBIS does not require names in the
function_table_group
column to be "defined" anywhere else.
