Just a guess, but it may be that your SPICE model causes a spike to
feedthrough from the input to the output, and this spike is confusing
s2ibis2. By reducing the risetimes of the input signal, the spike may go
away and "fix" the problem.
Is this a very slow device? Is it the transient step time that you reduced
from 20ns to 2ns?
