Rene, According to the keyword hierarchy on pg. 8 of the v5.1 specification, [Series Pin Mapping] is under the [Component] keyword, but [Model Selector] is not. [Model Selector] is on the same hierarchy level as [Component]. I hope this helps, Arpad ====================================================== From: owner-ibis-users@eda.org [mailto:owner-ibis-users@eda.org] On Behalf Of Rene Voshol Sent: Monday, September 16, 2013 3:29 AM To: ibis-users@eda.org Subject: [IBIS-Users] Clarification on [Series Pin Mapping] and [Model Selector] Hi, I have been making IBIS models for some time now. When devices are available in multiple packages I include these as different components. Up till now I included the [Series Pin Mapping][ and the [Model Selector] sections only once since they apply to all components. But after re-reading the IBIS specification I came to the conclusion that these sections should actually be included in each [Component]. The questions I have now: 1. Did I read the specification correct? 2. The simulator I use seems to work fine with only one [Model Selector] section. Do different simulators treat this differently? In other words, do I run the risk that models that work fine with me, do not run correctly with customers?
