Lynne, 1) I am not aware of anyone having done this. 2) Controlled sources are allowed in [External Circuit] so are active circuits, even complete buffer models, etc... 3) Most likely not. That is why Don is proposing to write up the HSPICE EFGH elements as part of IBIS. 4) As far as reviewing goes, this is pretty much what the discussion on the macromodeling proposal from Don is all about. Arpad et al., Does anyone know whether someone has successfully tried macromodeling using the "external circuit" in IBIS 4.1? Are controlled sources allowed there? Related to that, are the controlled sources of SPICE 3f5 sufficient, or should the Futures committee be reviewing this problem too? - Lynne ----------------------------------------------------------------- |For help or to subscribe/unsubscribe, email majordomo@eda.org |with the appropriate command message(s) in the body: | | help | subscribe ibis <optional e-mail address, if different> | subscribe ibis-users <optional e-mail address, if different> | unsubscribe ibis <optional e-mail address, if different> | unsubscribe ibis-users <optional e-mail address, if different> | |or email a request to ibis-request@eda.org. | |IBIS reflector archives exist under: | | http://www.eda.org/pub/ibis/email_archive/ Recent | http://www.eda.org/pub/ibis/users_archive/ Recent | http://www.eda.org/pub/ibis/email/ E-mail since 1993Received on Mon Apr 4 10:28:39 2005
