Hello, Tina, Depending on which AMS simulator you are using, you might not need a netlist translator. Many *-AMS simulators accept SPICE netlists, and provide a set of SPICE elements (for example, EKV and Berkeley-BSIM transistor models). For tool-specific information, the best person to ask is your EDA tool supplier. Best regards, Lynne _____ From: owner-ibis@eda.org [mailto:owner-ibis@eda.org] On Behalf Of ??? I have another question. If I like to model with AMS language. Does any program translate SPICE(netlist) to AMS?? Thanks!! Standard IBIS will not allow you to model your multilevel driver, you will have to use the IBIS 4.1 features as Lynne points out. The "5 level" mean the voltage level, not driver strength. Usually, one bit has 2 level (0 or vdd). And 2 bits have 4 level at least. Here is 2-bit using 5 level. Please give me some commemts?? Thanks!! Best Regards Tina ----- Original Message ----- From: Lynne D. Hi, Tina, This depends on what you mean by "levels". If you mean 5 drive strength options, but no change in drive strength option during a transition, then usually one IBIS model is created for each drive strength. If you mean 5 different drive strengths used during one transition (such as a buffer with internal feedback), then table-based IBIS modeling probably would not be suitable. In this case, one could consider IBIS 4.1, with an AMS or SPICE language option. Best regards, Lynne "IBIS training when you need it, where you need it."
