Hello Kesav,
I usually do all simulations "by hand". I simulate the curves using the
circuit simulator and put the results in the IBIS file.
When using s2ibis you can look into the files it generates. There you will
see a simulation file where the controlling source is defined. You can
change this file and run it yourself with your simulator (Spectre/Spice).
I always look at the simulated curves and see where the steep parts are.
And I also make an estimation where the normal operating area will be. In
this part I take more simulation points.
Hope this helps.
With kind regards,
Erik.

Subject: [IBIS-Users] query to ibis forum
Classification:
Hi IBIS experts,
I am interested to capture part of the VI curve (pullup, pulldown, ground
clamp and power clamp) range in small step size.
S2IBIS tool by default takes 0.05 or 0.1 V step size. I would like to know
does IBIS spec recommends any specific step size.
Could any one please let me know how to go about making VI curves for
small step size other than default value.
Thanks,
Kesav.
