RE: [IBIS-Users] Re: How simulate and I/O buffer like only input model?

Hello Rodriguez

I am a user of Hspice and HyperLynx.
Regarding your original question the answer is simple: In HyperLynx you can choose if an IO buffer is driving or receiving this is done by checking the desired option in the buffer assignment window (if you don't familiar with HyperLynx I can tell you hat it is easy as clicking the mouse ..).
In Hspice you set the OE signal to the desired state.

As for your question regarding IBIS accuracy between Hspice and HyperLynx I can tell you based on my own experience that they are the same for any practical use. Of course the tools capability and ease of use is very different.

Hope this help.

Hi Matthew,

I am not user of HyperLinx, but I am interesed to know how HyperLinx
simulates IBIS models, in special how Hyperlinx simulates different types of
buffers by means of IBIS models. Is it possible that there are differencies
in the accuracy of IBIS simulations between HSPICE and Hyperlinx? With this
information I can consider to use HyperLinx.

                  Regards,
