Hi Ambrish, Regarding the first item from my mail below on s2ibis2, I managed to get it run finally. I found out that I need to change the model name P and N to pfet and nfet respectively to get the tools recognizing them. Is this a limitation? However, after I finished running, it displays this message: Opening file inv.ibs for writing... memory fault. What does this mean? How do I get around this error? On the other hand, kindly advice on the javadir variable as mentioned in my previous mail below. Thank you. I found that it somehow could not recognize my model file. Kindly refer to the attached spectre1.mod file which I used as my model file. Is there anything wrong with the syntax? It doesn't seem to recognize the model that I used in my inv.sp (refer attached) file even though it is defined in "ag100_fet_all.scs" file. On the other hand, I am also trying to run using s2ibis3. I have downloaded Java 2 RE version 1.4.2_12. I went to the directory where I copied the s2ibis2_v1_1 and switched to cshell. I typed the following command which is stated in the README file: source s2ibis3.csh -s2ibis3 buffer.spi The message I obtained in return: Java version "1.4.2_12" Running Java Javadir: Undefined variable Is there anything wrong in the way I executed the commands? Kindly advice. Thank you. If you are using s2ibis2, please download s2ibis3 from the link Michael mentioned before. If you are using s2ibis3, please attach the log file (s2ibis3.log) that is created at the end of the s2ibis3 run. For example: Parameters\ RCASE_MIN=0\ RCASE_NOM=1\ RCASE_MAX=0 But looking through the pct.msg file, it prompts syntax error. I don't understand. Is there anything wrong with the way I defined the parameters? How come the parameters just can't seem to be taken into account? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks. Right now, my own spectre.mod file only has one line : include "/usr/../../../ag100_mos.scs" section=nom However, when I run the s2ibis software, it does not seem to recognize the model file and keeps on giving error that my component is of undefined model. Kindly advice. Thank you. I have downloaded s2ibis2 v1.1 and tried running some examples from there. However, there are some questions that I would like to be clarified: 1) I'm using a spectre simulator and my circuit and model files are also meant for spectre language. I noticed that the command input file (.s2i) takes in a spice (.sp) file, which is rather similar to the spectre netlist. Is it possible to run the software using my spectre netlist as input? Or do I need to generate a spice-compatible netlist file? 2) I also have my own model files (.scs). Can I replace the example's spectre.mod with my own model file and change the extension to .mod? 3) The s2ibis2 software helps me to run all the necessary simulations and convert them to ibis format automatically. Is there any other method where I can use my own simulation output and convert them into ibis format? i.e. is there any converter which takes in simulation output data and converts them into ibis file? I hope that my questions are not confusing. Your feedback and assistance are highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
