bi,

As the author of IBIS Center I would like to tell you that
it was written to read the .LIS files of HSPICE simulations,
but the .LIS file has to follow some very specific rules in
order for IBIS Center to be able to parse it and extract the
data from it. The best way of using it is with the HSPICE
simulation templates (.SP files) which are supplied in the
accompanying lab exercise directories. If you don't follow
the formatting rules you will most likely get errors, or
things won't work.

Also, I would suggest that you download the following file:

http://www.vhdl.org/pub/ibis/training/IBIS_class_2003.zip

which contains a much more recent version of IBIS Center
(IC1NT9R.EXE) and also has the labs you should try to learn
how to use it.

Having said that, you can also generate the .LIS files from
other simulators, or even measurements, but remember that
the format must satisfy some rules so that IBIS Center can
read it, so you will most likely end up having to edit the
files which come from other sources first.

Subject: [IBIS] How to generate LVDS differential IBIS model?

Dear experts,

I just followed the document "Secrets Revealed:
Creating accurate LVDS IBIS models" by Adam Tambone in
Fairchild Semiconductor Corp to generate V-t and I-V
curves for a LVDS differential buffer. The format of
the .lis file looks like that of the single-ended
buffer, but I don't know how to generate the 100 best
points for these curves(convert the output data to
IBIS format), It seems IC1NT9K.EXE can not work for
this kind of data.

Thanks a lot!

bi
