Anil

There are services such as myself that do this kind of work. It takes a lot
of equipment, knowledge, skills and experience to do it right. Most of the
ICs today will have transitions on the order of 200 psec or less. This puts
the bandwidth of the signals to be measured greater than 1 GHz. Many of
today's IC have energy out to more than 10 GHz. This is the realm of
microwave measurements. The cost of the equipment tracks the frequencies
that need to be measured.

You are not going to get a cookbook answer to your question from a reflector
such as this and be able to go off and make your measurements. It takes a
lot of experience using the proper T&M equipment, understanding of how the
components work, how to instrument and stimulate the DUT, etc. to do the job
right.

VI and VT data

Hi sudheer & experts,
My question is how to get V-I and V-t curves by
Direct measurement method. Please suggets me any
material which contains detailed explanation(with some
circuit diagrams preferrably)of Lab set up.What is the
use of curve tracer for getting data? I don't have
cuve tracer. Please tell me what can I use in place of
cuve tracer.
sudheer, I followed your suggested material. It is
helpful for me in knowing the modes of operations for
getting the typ min max values. But what my doubt is,
can I use HSPICE simulation set up for Laboratory
measurements also? If no, then Please suggest any
other material which will be helpful to perform Direct
measurement.
with regards,
anil.
