Hi Esdras, It is possible to include an S-Parameter definition of a package model in an IBIS file using the [External Circuit] keyword. The [Model] constructs for the buffers remain separate in the IBIS file. However, your real challenge will be to put that to use in a Signal Integrity software application. Very few of them support an IBIS file that uses the [External Circuit] or [External Model] constructs. Most high-end silicon vendors provide their S-Parameter package models in separate Touchstone Files along with the silicon models in either IBIS or SPICE format and leave it to the end user to put them together in a simulation in the way that suits their methodology and tools. Thanks! Is it possible to include s-parameter definition for a package into an IBIS model, or it is necessary to have the lumped RLC equivalent? So far we have only available the s-parameters model for the package, but we don't know how to include this info into the IBIS model... We will really appreciate your feedback regarding this point. Thanks in advance!!!
